Positioning, it’s something that Al Ries and Jack Trout laid out all the way back in 1980. Companies who do not hold to the laws of Positioning, that is the first two companies in a consumer’s mind will prosper and the others will slowly but eventually suffer, will suffer for it. They laid out several … Continue reading The Google Pixel is doomed to fail →

Valentine’s Day, where you at?
I will start with this, I am not a fan of capitalizing on holidays. I think they are special periods people experience a few times a year, but with that said, what’s up with Valentine’s Day? February 14th, it is a day of love for some and loneliness for others. Everyone is reminded of whom … Continue reading Valentine’s Day, where you at? →
Curious and Curiouser: The Development of Print Ads
My week has been jammed pack with tests, work and Lindsey+Asp assignments. It was kind of chaotic and slightly overwhelming. However, in Copy and Layout we continued working on our three print advertisements. I chose to develop ads for The North Face outdoor brand. I altered their current slogan “never stop exploring” to “explore with curiosity.” I drew inspiration from a quote I stumbled upon. “Replace the fear of the unknown with curiosity.” I found this quote fitting The North Face brand, as
A campaign a day keeps the insanity away.
The past two weeks, we have been working on an InDesign project. We got to choose a brand that we thought that we could do a campaign for. At first, I chose HP because my friend told me that it would be fun, but as I got into it, I realized that HP was not …

K.I.S.S.
This project scared the crap out of me when we started. I am not someone that can just come up with something original and creative. I analyze everything I do and I am a perfectionist when it comes to my work. When I first started I did not fully get it, and by the end […]
The process is not always sweet.

Blurred Pictures
This last week was dominated by our first project in Indesign. I am a planner and that is where my heart and mind are so I spent my first two and a half days or so doing research over the brand I was working on, Snickers. The research went well, but it’s hard to improve … Continue reading Blurred Pictures →
A Short Rant About Bees
I have learned two things this week (well, more than two, I’m just going to focus on these two): Burt’s Bees is an amazing company. Remembering how to use Adobe Photoshop and InDesign was a bit more difficult than I had expected. I hadnR…
Highs and Lows
I am extremely proud of the three print ads I made. However, this was not always the case. In fact just one week ago I was extremely embarrassed by print ads. I had no idea what I was doing with InDesign, and this really blocked my creativity. Because I didn’t know how to manipulate the … Continue reading Highs and Lows →
InDesign has me in confusion
These past two weeks have been genuinely interesting because it has been over things that I have next to no idea about. The different forms of fonts were interesting and I started to the hang of the different games that were provided. (Google images) The teacher or Mr. Croom or whatever person I am supposed to be … Continue reading InDesign has me in confusion →
