Reflection

I believe this blog will be something I will utilize for other courses and internships as well as personal use. With my recent internship that I just recently completed, I had to look for influential bloggers for my company to reach out to. I actually utilized WordPress to complete these tasks for the company and…Read more Reflection

The End.

As this is the last week of Ad Copy and Layout, it’s time to show what I’ve learned. What better way, in my opinion to show that learning than by making a poster of some of my favorite programs in the Adobe Creative Suite. I wanted to follow the same style for each of the posters, in order to create a series. I included some of the basics of the program and what they’re used for and what kind of files they export. I think these posters can be a great resource for students learning the programs

How I grew this past semester as an Advertising practitioner: I was able to further expand my software skills this semester through repeated use of them for the various projects in this class. I think one project I should’ve tried harder on was the print ad campaigns. I loved my concept a lot, but I think the execution was a bit sloppy on my part and I’d definitely re-do them if I had to turn them in again. I’ve never really worked in video before, but getting to do the narrative video and being

Medium for Summary of Learning

For my Summary of Learning project, I chose to do three posters, one for each of the Adobe Programs I utilize the most. My goal is to create a cohesive series that explain the history and reasons for usage for the specific programs. The programs I chose are Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I will explain the formats they export and what kind of images they work with (raster images or vector images). I think for my personal use having to teach these programs to people, they will serve as a

When I came into this class, I already had and utilized alecrplourde.com as my portfolio that housed all of my creative work. Through this class, I have had to look at it quite a ton and I don’t think the design I originally went for works currently. I think I need to go for more of a minimalistic approach that takes up more of the front page.I don’t see myself utilizing a blog for creative purposes just because it is a lot of work maintaining a blog, time that I could spend learning new skills

After reading through my blog posts, there are a few that stick out to me. I really like how I did my first post, and the narrative I used behind it.You can tell that some of my posts are simply their because they have to be, and they’re the ones that I slightly lost my side of creativity and humor on.My favorite series of posts that I did are the Free People series. During that I really got the chance to work as an advertising agent and learn about the company and strategically think of a way

A medium! For my final project I have decided to create an animation. My animation will be over a sorority on campus. The main idea behind the animation is to inform incoming freshmen women about the opportunities they have on campus when joining a sorority, and also what a sorority can bring to their lives. The information I will be using is from personal experience and first hand knowledge, so I won’t need to do outside research.
