Last Forever

This course taught me a lot about what I can do, what I like to do and definitely what I don’t like to do. I managed through multiple mediums, different prompts, and a LOT of writing. The course was easy to follow and I really enjoyed the format and the teaching the style. I just wish I would have had more time, but as is life, this was a summer course. I didn’t LOVE the journaling part of this course, but I am not really a writer. It was difficult to know if my voice is translating the way I

My final project!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to make something – anything I wanted, to some how describe all of the things I learned throughout this course and this semester. I could choose any medium I wanted, so I chose to do a  print esume because I these are my favorite kind of design skills and I feel like they are my strongest as well. In my resume I have a timeline of the course with all the stuff I learned and also my confidence levels of each skill. I thought this was the best way to sum up

Kid’s, I’m Going To Tell You An Incredible Story

For this blog post, I am to reflect back on all my blog posts over the course of this summer session. I read them all in order chronologically and looked back on everything I accomplished (or tired to) this semester. The beginning of the course was not my favorite. It had a particular focus on copywriting and basic fundamentals of design – which I just kinda felt like I knew already (I’m a brat). Also I really really realllllly don’t enjoy copy witting (or writing in general). I can do it

Lights Camera Action Plan

Creating a blog has been a really helpful experience for me. I was always a little afraid to start one, because I didn’t know what on earth I could write about. My plan was always to wait until I had a portfolio to upload to create my site. Throughout the last spring semester I would meet with professionals in the advertising world and they would always be like, dude why don’t you have a website. You’re basically ~irrelevant~ without one. I had no idea where to start, though. So when I began

3 different story ideas for S.Pellegrino:1. We first follow a young man in his 20’s through his day. He gets up early to catch up on homework. You follow him through campus while he seems glum. He doesn’t have many friends and he has the mentality of always on the outside looking in. He goes to work at the local pizza shop Next, the setting is at a party between close friends at someones home. One of the friends is passing out Pellegrino’s while friends laugh and listen to music. Another friend

For this assignment we had to make a short documentary. I chose to do a demonstration – how to give yourself a blowout with a round brush. There just aren’t a lot of videos out there (for beginners). There’s no narrative but I take you step by step through the process of how I do it. For anyone who doesn’t know what a blow out is, it’s a way of styling hair using the heat of a hair dryer. Granted, I’m not like, “the best” at this. But, if you’re looking for a place to start, I’m your gal. The

Cat’s In The Cradle

For this assignment, I had to create a video montage of someone who is important to me. @Acroom gave examples of family, celebrities, etc. basically anyone who meant a lot to us. So I picked my MF CAT. You guys don’t reeeeallllly understand how funny and adorable she is so this seemed like the only appropriate way to show you. Look I’m not one of those crazy cat ladies (or am I?) but tell me this montage didn’t make you laugh/smile/cry. Ugh its so cute, you guys are welcome.Marcy is such a

Facebook and Twitter are incredible modern tools than can be used by businesses and advertisers. Both provide insight on who you can reach, how much money it will cost to reach them, and in what ways you can reach them. These tools can be utilized as much or as little as desired. This is an important value to have when you’re promoting a business on a budget and it’s easy to see how much bang you get for your buck. After conducting a few mock campaigns, I was impressed by how easy to use and
